Xiaomi has made a name for itself in India one smartphone launch after another and its bumper sales figure are an evidence of that.
Launching feature packed smartphones at budget prices has become the norm for Xiaomi in the Indian market and its latest announcement – the Redmi 4A – is an improved version of the Redmi 4.
The new Redmi 4A, which is part of the budget Redmi series – delivers the most bang for the buck. The updates Redmi 4A now comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. However, it still retains the Snapdragon 425 chipset underneath the 5-inch HD display. There are a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP rear camera for the photography department. The smartphone is powered by a 3100mAh battery.
The 3GB RAM Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 6,999, which is exactly the same as the entry-level Redmi 4 with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and a fingerprint sensor. It will be interesting to see whether consumers go for the powerful version of the Redmi 4A or the entry-level premium Redmi 4.
