HP has announced a new member in its flagship gaming laptop series – the Omen X.
The HP Omen X packs ultra-high-end hardware with a 17.3-inch 120Hz full HD display (4K option available too), Intel Core i7 7820HK CPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080/1070 GPUs, up to two SSDs in RAID 0, one HDD, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, Type-C and Type-A USB 3.1 ports and one mini DP port.
The HP Omen X is a well-built yet bulky laptop that weighs much more than your traditional work laptop and even more than your desktop computer in some cases.
Like the weight, the price of the Omen X is also on the higher end with a starting price of $2,299. To make gamers happy, HP also includes the RGB LED-backlit programmable keyboard, DTS Headphone X enhancements, speakers by Bang & Olufsen, and a cooling system featuring a vapour chamber and four 3.5-mm heat pipes that transfer heat to four radiators.
The laptop will target gamers who wish to obtain a laptop that can be overclocked for maximum performance with user-upgradeable options.
